Importing Audio Files to Music Tracks

Now you’re ready to import the corresponding audio files to the properly named Music Tracks. You can’t import directly to the tracks in the Music Segment Editor, but you can import to their corresponding Music Track objects in the Project Explorer.

  1. In the Project Explorer, right-click the Combat-B-Arpeggio_138bpm4-4-L8M-P0 Music Track and choose Import Audio Files, then click Add Files.

  2. In the Cube Music folder, navigate to the Combat-B folder.

You see that the asset structure provided for the Combat-B music is essentially the same as it was for Combat-A.

  3. Select the Combat-B-Arpeggio file and click Open.

  4. With the file now in the Audio File Importer, click Import.

  5. In the Music Segment Editor, zoom in on the Combat-B Arpeggio Music Track.

While you have the Arpeggio line, the remaining Sub-Tracks were used for variations that you manually edited. There’s no way to automatically apply the edits you made for the Combat-A-Arpeggio to the Combat-B-Arpeggio, so you’ll have to do that manually.

  6. Copy the Combat-B-Arpeggio clip from the first Sub-Track to the next two empty Sub-Tracks, then make the necessary edits to match the work you did to the Arpeggio-A Music Track in the Combat-A Music Segment.

    [Note]

You may find that the Low-pass filter curve is displayed on top of the High-pass filter curve, making it difficult to make the necessary adjustment to the High-pass filter. Deselect and then reselect the Highpass button to bring the High-pass filter curve to the top.
