Importing the Remaining Assets

The first step is to bring in the additional files for the Combat-Bridge music.

  1. Import the Combat-Bridge folder into the Combat Music Playlist Container and set the Entry and Exit Cues.

You see that for the bridge there is Cube-Bridge-Main track that contains the foundation of the music, but there are also three versions of guitar intensity tracks that need to be configured into a Sequence Step Music Track as you’ve done with the Combat-A and Combat-B Music Segments.

  2. Reconfigure the guitar Music Tracks to mirror the intensity build using a Sequence Step Sub-Track configuration.

    [Tip]

If you are not zoomed in close enough the beat divisions aren’t displayed on the timeline, and you may have trouble dragging clips to the beginning timeline. This is because the Snap to Bars/Beats button is engaged. Either zoom in horizontally or disable the Snap to Bars/Beats function so that all of the clips are properly positioned to begin at 1 beat before measure 1.

  3. Play the Combat-Bridge Music Segment to test your work.

Now you need to add the Combat-TransToBridge segment. This section is delivered completely pre-mixed, so it’s a single audio file.

  4. Import the Combat-TransToBridge file into the Combat Music Playlist Container.

Like the transition segment used in the Explore music, this section is in 3/4 time, so you’ll need to override the Time Settings area and make the necessary adjustments. As always, look at the pre-entry and length information in the filename to properly adjust the Entry and Exit Cues.

  5. Select the Combat-TransToBridge, override the Time Settings to set the appropriate values, and set the Entry and Exit Cues.
