Strata receives its first independent review, and it’s great!

Sound Design / Strata Tips & Tools

When we launched Strata a month ago, we were full of excitement and trepidation as to how the interactive audio community would react to the product. After all, this is Audiokinetic’s first foray into the highly competitive and fast-paced world of commercial sound FX libraries. And we are entering this environment with an entirely new concept: multitrack sound FX collections. How will users react?

Well, after one month, feedback is coming in, and (deep sigh of relief) it’s great! We’ve already heard from a bunch of happy customers, and this week we uncovered the first independent Strata review!

Tyler, at Aftertouch Audio, got his hands on Strata a short while ago. He just loves how Strata unveils every single minute detail of how a truly professional sound is designed. He is especially impressed with how Strata is leveraging the bundled ENRAGE plug-in by BOOM, as you get to see exactly what is under the hood of every single sound.

Although Tyler is not a REAPER user, he quickly mastered the basics of the product and raves about how Strata collections are organized. In his own words: “It is so nice to see a session that is so clean, so organized, with so much detail.” He goes on to explain how “you can change presets, you can do anything you want. I can edit them, I can add my own plug-ins, I can take samples away, I can add samples. It is a totally modular library, and it is something that you don’t really see sample libraries doing…at all”.

Go ahead and check out Tyler’s review of Strata and BOOM’s ENRAGE on YouTube! He does a great job at articulating what the product does and why he thinks it’s so great.
