Installing Wwise, WAG, and the Course Materials

After you install the Audiokinetic Launcher, you will use it to install the correct versions of the software and course materials required for the Wwise-251 certification course. You must install Unity manually, as described in Installing Unity.

  • Wwise

  • The Wwise Adventure Game

  • The course materials:

    • The WAG Wwise project

    • The WAG standalone version

    • The WAG Unity project

To install Wwise, the Wwise Adventure Game, and the course materials:

  1. Open the Audiokinetic Launcher and select Learn.

  2. Select Performance Optimization & Mobile Considerations. The Wwise-251 certification page opens and lists the required software and course materials:

    • Unity (must be installed manually as described in Installing Unity)

    • Wwise

    • Wwise Adventure Game

    • Course Materials (project files specific to Wwise-251)

    Green check marks appear beside anything that is already installed.

  3. Select Install. The Confirm Target Directories dialog opens.

  4. (Optional) Change the target installation directories.

  5. Select Install. The software is installed and the course materials are downloaded to the specified directory.

  6. To the right of Course Materials, select Open Containing Folder, then open the directory that contains the course materials, which is PerformanceOptimization&MobileConsiderations[WwiseVersionNumber] by default.

  7. Copy the PerformanceOptimization&MobileConsiderations[VersionNumber] folder to the Wwise Adventure Game directory:
