In Wwise, you can generate motion using either of the following two methods:
The requirements and limitations of each situation will determine which method you choose. Take the time to understand each method's strengths and weaknesses so that you can use them appropriately.
Some platforms support multiple types of motion devices, such as rumble-based or haptic-based gamepads. Take the following design considerations into account when generating motion content for multiple types of devices:
Before you can create motion for your game, perform the following prerequisites:
Install the Motion source plug-in: You can install the Motion plug-in when you are installing Wwise. If you already have Wwise installed, you can install the Motion plug-in by modifying the installation. See Installing Wwise and Its Components in the Audiokinetic Launcher Guide. For informaition about the Motion plug-in, see Motion.
Code setup: For Game Engine integration, an audio programmer will have to ensure everything is set up to run motion on Wwise. Refer to the SDK documentation's Integrating Wwise Motion page.
