You can import audio files using the Audio File Importer or by dragging them directly into the Containers hierarchy.
When you import files directly into the Containers hierarchy, you have the option of importing them as one of the following object types if the target Container allows it:
Sound SFX
Sound Voice
Music Segment
Audio Source
Music Track

Select a file or a group of files and do one of the following:
Right-click and select Add File in Audio File Importer. The Audio File Importer dialog is displayed and contains the selected file.
Right-click and select Import File to 'Default Work Unit' and then select either Sound FX, Sound Voice, or Music Segment.
With a Container selected in the Project Explorer, right-click and
select Import File to
Drag a file or files directly into the Default Work Unit in the Project Explorer.
Drag a file or files into the Audio File Importer.
Select a file or files and press the Shift+I keys or click Files(#). The file(s) are added to the Audio File Importer.
Do one of the following:
Right-click anywhere in the waveform and then select Add File in Audio File Importer. The Audio File Importer dialog is displayed and contains the selected file.
Click Files (#). The Audio File Importer dialog is displayed and contains the selected file.
With a Container selected in the Project Explorer, right-click
anywhere in the waveform and then select Import
File to
Right-click anywhere in the waveform and then select Import File to 'Default Work Unit' and then select the type of file.
You can import audio files by dragging and dropping them to either the Audio File Importer dialog or to your project Default Work Unit. The drag and drop function is sensitive to the destination. You can only drag types of files into the destinations that allow it. Drag and drop your files by doing one of the following:
Select a file or files from the Results pane and drag it into the Audio File Importer.
Select a file or files from the Results pane and drag it onto any object in the Containers hierarchy in the Project Explorer. The file or files are imported into the Project Explorer.
