Can we organize files in the Originals folder?

Is there a way to organize the files in the Originals folders?

As we are currently considering how to organize our workflow and structure this is quite important for us that you can browse the source files without Wwise and still have an idea where each file belongs to.

Yes, it is possible to organize the original files in subfolders, in one of several ways:

  • By organizing your files manually inside of subfolders of the Originals/SFX and Originals/[Language] paths prior to importing in Wwise: the import step will then skip the copy, and link to the file at its location.
  • By selecting a target folder in the Audio File Importer dialog ('Audio file destination').
  • By moving the files after import using the File Manager (Shift-F1).
