UE4 Can't hear events posted from components in blueprints

+6 votes
Hello,

I am having a hard time getting events called from blueprints to sound properly. They are being triggered correctly, but at -inf volume.

I am able to get blueprint-called sounds to play on the first person character with 2D or 3D positioning. I can also get sounds to play on third person characters if the positioning is set to 2D only; once set to 3D, the sound disappears. Attenuations are set correctly and working; if do a Post Event at Location and feed the third person actor's location along with the desired event, it works perfectly as intended. However when I try to post an event with a component reference, the sound refuses to play. I've checked that the attached location of the component is the same as the actor location that I can successfully post the sound to otherwise.

The component is attached to a weapon blueprint that is generated at runtime. Using Unreal 4.8.1 with Wwise 2015.1.

Thank you!
