What does the Auro-3D upate in 2016.1 mean?

I was looking for documentation and details about this but could only find the sentence mentioning that 2016.1 "Utilizes" Auro-3D. It has already been a plugin for sometime,does this mean Auro-3D is integrated as a basic part of Wwise?
