Could there be any reason why pause and stop actions don't work with AkTriggerEnter in a AkEvent?

Every time I try to pause or stop sound source using AkEvent, it does not work. Play actions on events work perfectly but NOTHING else does. Pause/stop/mute/set volume - none work. Is there anything I could have possibly done to make this happen?
