How are .wem dialogue audio files referenced by UE4 games (Jedi: Fallen Order)?

Hi everyone! I am attempting to alter the sound files of the main character's dialogue in Jedi: Fallen Order. I have extracted the .wem files, converted them to .wav files where I edited them, and then converted them back to .wem files using Wwise (renaming them back to their original names). However, when I re-import them into the game, the audio does not work. What I don't understand is how the .wem files are referenced by the game and why the game is not referencing my altered audio files even though they have the same name and file type.

Thanks for any help!
