Audiokinetic appoints New Country Manager for its subsidiary in Japan Audiokinetic K.K.

Tokyo, Japan – March 21, 2017 – Audiokinetic Inc., the leading global provider of cross-platform audio solutions for the interactive media and gaming industries, has appointed Masatomo Tajima as Country Manager in Japan. Tajima has been with Audiokinetic K. K. since the company opened its Japan subsidiary in 2013. He has been managing the largest portfolios in Japan, and his new role marks a strategic transition that represents Audiokinetic’s commitment to the Japanese market.

With his new role as Country Manager, Tajima will now be focusing on implementing the company’s growth strategies and new business development initiative in Japan, while continuing to nurture and cultivate its existing portfolios. Tajima’s history with Audiokinetic, his background in sound design and audio engineering, and his previous experience with Capcom, one of Audiokinetic’s current clients in Japan, provides him with the background and expertise to ensure alignment between the company’s ambitious objectives for the Japanese market, as well as understand and cater to the evolving requirements of its expanding community of loyal users and partners.

Audiokinetic has been successfully contributing to the evolution of the gaming industry in Japan, working with top tier clientele such as Bandai Namco, Capcom, KLab, Konami, Platinum Games and many more. Its goals for the Japanese market include strengthening its presence and relationships, while increasing efficiency across all aspects of operations.

With this, Audiokinetic has recently also made a new hire; Masato Ushijima as Sound Designer in Residence in Japan. Prior to joining Audiokinetic, Ushijima has worked on more than 60 titles deployed on various platforms such as One, PS4, 360, PS3, and Wii, as well as several non-gaming interactive audio projects. Furthermore, his recent wide-ranging experience, working with Toylogic Inc, Digixart Entertainment, Tri-Ace and Flower Robotic provides Ushijima with the necessary skills to ensure that existing Wwise projects benefit from the complete capabilities of the Wwise audio engine pipeline. In fact, Ushijima was the first Wwise Certified Instructor in Japan. He has been teaching Wwise for the past two years, and continues to teach part-time at HAL Tokyo College of Technology & Design. Ushijima will play a central role in seamlessly transitioning the company’s growing Japanese portfolio of clients to the Wwise audio engine, and will focus on ensuring that the creative and technical requirements of clients are understood and catered to.
