Integrating Audio into a Game

While the previous certifications (101 and 201) have delved into possibilities of sound design in Wwise, this certification will expose you to implementing a Wwise Project into a game engine. Common practice in game development has been to have a sound designer work primarily in Wwise and then someone with programming experience would be called in to implement the hooks or set up the connections between Wwise and the game engine. However, with the constant growth of developer tools and features, integrating sounds from a Wwise project into a game engine like Unity has become, with just a few helpful instructions, achievable by anyone. As a matter of fact, the demand for sound designers able to implement their own sounds into a game has increased significantly. With this certification you'll be able to do just that.

This certification will introduce a series of good practices in integrating any Wwise Project into Unity. We'll start small, with simple methods of posting sounds in a 3D space. Then we'll uncover how to control your soundscape with game syncs, Effects, and callbacks. And, finally, we'll provide you with some helpful tips and tricks when starting your own Wwise implementations in Unity.
