Voice Monitor

The Voice Monitor view displays the volume of the voices playing in time when capturing with the profiler. You can set the scope of the view on a specific bus, or for all voices currently playing. The voices shown in the list are the voices playing at a specific time, shown by the time cursor.

Description

All voices

Show all voices playing in time. The volume shown is the final voice volume.

Bus input

Show all voices playing into a bus. The volume shown is the calculated before HDR attenuation, in the context of the bus.

When selecting this mode, the bus needs to be specified.

Bus output

Show all voices playing into a bus. The volume shown is volume at which the voice is being mixed when leaving the bus.

When selecting this mode, the bus needs to be specified.

To use the voice monitor:

  1. Click Start Capture to begin capturing, or connect to game.

  2. Play the sounds.

  3. Open the Voice Monitor view.

  4. Select the All Voices for the mode.

To filter the voices:

  1. Use one of the following filters for the content of the Voice Monitor:

    • Object filter: select an Actor-Mixer Hierarchy object (container, sound, virtual folder, work unit, etc...) to show the object and all its descendants. Select a bus to show all objects routed to this bus or the descendants of the bus.

    • Text filter: filter objects by text. Search as substrings for all words in the text field.
