The Robotic collection includes sounds for all types of robotic movement across robots of all sizes, from tiny to gigantic and everything in between. There are sounds for every conceivable method of propulsion: rolling, flying, hovering, wheeled motion, and footsteps. There are also sounds for stuck or damaged robots: a fully customizable range of stuttering, jamming, and unjamming, all scalable in size and robotic propulsion style. In addition, there are sounds for body falls, impacts, and vocalizations. With a focus on interactive media, the propulsion projects feature scalable size and perfect loops for customization to match the movement of your animations and bring your robots to life.
The complete list of all subprojects, their associated data, and embedded metadata is available in the accompanying Robotic SoundBook.

This guide provides information specific to this collection. For general information that applies to all Strata collections, refer to the Strata User Guide. |
The main project provides a convenient way to visualize, locate, and audition the sounds in the Robotic collection. Additionally, it is the central point from which you can open the individual Robotic subprojects. The main project contains tracks for each subproject, with media items that reference the various subprojects in nested tracks. You can audition any of the media items that reference the rendered output from the corresponding subprojects.
In the main project, Robotic.rpp, you can double-click any subproject media item to open the corresponding subproject, in which all of the tracks and layers available for the specific robotic sound are arranged.
Use the Region/Marker Manager to find and jump to the different subproject tracks. For more information, refer to Regions and Markers in the Strata User Guide.

The Robotic collection contains the following subprojects:
Propulsion Footstep
Propulsion Wheel
Propulsion Roll
Propulsion Fly
Propulsion Hover
Movement ServoStutter
Movement Synthetic
Movement Steampunk
Movement Bodyfall
Movement Impact
Voice
The Propulsion projects focus on the methods that robots use to move around. Where relevant, they include loops with the corresponding starting and stopping points. They feature control tracks for scalability of sounds, with predefined and editable small, medium, and large sizes. The Movement projects contain sounds that robots make when they move their limbs and interact with their environments. They range from highly mechanical in Steampunk to purely synthetic in Synthetic. The Voice subproject contains a variety of robot vocalizations.
Robotic tracks, layers, and regions use the standard Strata colors and hierarchy. The main project and subproject track layout is similar to all projects across the Strata collections.
For more information on custom Strata colors, refer to Track Names and Colors in the Strata User Guide.
