Sharing assets without being editable

SO, if I save a soundbank, can someone import that into a project and use it ? If so what assets would i need to give them ? Would it just be the generated .bnk file ?

Also.I wondered if there is a way I could share a sample midi instrument or sound bank with someone else without them being able to reverse engineer it if that makes sense ?
