Has anyone else gotten an error message that says: "SDL2" is damaged and can't be opened?

I am running on macOS Sierra and have been trying to install SDL2 for the Cube demo. I think I'm following the instructions correctly, copying to /Library/Frameworks, but it is not registering and if I click on anything in the folder I get this error message. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an issue with the link?
