Audiokinetic and Montreal’s SAT announced their partnership back in 2016, and through their network of international enterprises, government collaborations, and leadership in research and development, they have been facilitating research initiatives focused on the development and advancement of the immersive experience and 3D audio innovations.

“Our partnership with Montreal’s Society for Arts and Technology is an important one as we continue to support a worldwide community of researchers, developers, artists, and designers who are transforming interactive audio and immersive realities. We are proud to be sponsoring the SAT and the IX Symposium 2018, and to be contributing with our research and technologies for the third year now,” said Martin H. Klein, Founder, President and CEO of Audiokinetic Inc, “The success of Audiokinetic has a lot to do with the tremendous laboratory Montreal is, and we are committed to stimulating and promoting our city as the international hub for creativity, research and development.”

Beyond being the official premium sponsors of the SAT and the IX Symposium this year, members of the Audiokinetic research and development team, Nathan Harris and Thalie Keklikian, will be presenting an advanced Wwise Spatial Audio workshop. They will demonstrate how reflection, diffraction, and sound propagation is simulated in Wwise, and how the authoring tool is used to monitor what is going on and to enable creative intervention when desired.
