How to set a state/switch by default when opening a project ?

Hi,
I am currently working on a short interactive musical prototype for a demonstration. I'm looking for a way to set a default state and/or switch on when the project opens.
I can't see how (and if it's possible) to do it in a simple way, but maybe you guys can help me! :)
