Bank setup for DLC

I have a question regarding bank & PAK setup for postlaunch DLC. We can freeze the main PAKs from the core game and make a DLC PAK with the DLC content, but the structure of the wwise project has obviously changed, so does that mean the init bank needed to be duplicated?
