Wwise Perforce error with VPN

Hi all. We recently got Wwise setup for a new project and when connecting to perforce source control I get the following error frequently appear:

Perforce command failed:
"SSL receive failed.
read: The system cannot find the file specified. : WSAECONNRESET"

Never ran into this issue before with p4. Any ideas why this is occurring? I am using a VPN, not sure if this makes any difference.
