Samples

The Samples option in the left navigation contains links to three educational Wwise projects:

  • Wwise Audio Lab (Unreal): Opens the Wwise Audio Lab page, where you can install and run the compiled Wwise Audio Lab (WAL) game and its associated Wwise project and PDF documentation.

    WAL is an open-source game-like 3D environment developed with Unreal Engine. It showcases various spatial audio methods and technologies, which you can learn about in-game through information nodes and experimentation.

  • Wwise Adventure Game (Unity): Opens the Wwise Adventure Game page, where you can install and run the compiled Wwise Adventure Game (WAG) and its associated Unity project, Wwise project, and PDF documentation.

    WAG is a third-person action-adventure game developed with Unity. It is a full game with quests, items, enemies, and a final battle. You can use it to experiment with the Wwise integration for Unity.

  • Wwise Samples: Opens the Wwise Samples page, where you can open other installed sample programs (see Installing Wwise and Its Components).

[Tip]Tip

To list sample projects for another installed Wwise version, select it from the Wwise Version list below the Samples page title. If a desired sample is not installed for a particular Wwise version, you can modify that version's installation from the Sample page by clicking Modify Wwise <version> below the list of samples.

The listed samples include buttons or list options to open documentation (if available) and run Wwise projects, games, or small programs such as the Game Simulator LUA interpreter and the Integration Demo.

[Note]Note

The Integration Demo is included as part of the Wwise SDK. To use it, you must install the Wwise SDK.

Wwise Version: Select one of the installed versions on your computer.

Runs the sample. Click the arrow to open its containing folder.

Opens the sample in Wwise.

Displays documentation.

Click to modify the installation. See Adding Platform Components to Your Current Installation.
