Under this Price Chart the following will not be considered Games: automotive, advertising, gambling, film production, location-based entertainment (arcade, museum, theme park, other), robotics and embedded technologies, simulation (technical, scientific, military, training, architecture, other).

Wwise Commercial Pricing

The cost of a Wwise license is defined by the total production budget of your project. A Wwise license is required for each platform used for your title. All pricing is in US dollars and apply only to video-game developments. For other types of projects, please contact us.

In all the pricing tables below, Level A prices are for PRO licenses with a production budget up to $150K; Level B prices are for PRO licenses with a budget up to $1.5M; Level C prices are for PREMIUM licenses.

Expansion Packs, Add-ons and DLC

A DLC license is required if the licensee plans to release new paid content for the product (expansion packs, downloadable add-ons) that use the audio engine. Purely cosmetic DLC (character clothes/skins, for example) do not require a DLC license. A 12-month DLC license entitles the Licensee to release unlimited DLC content for a period of twelve months.

One Direct Support Plan covers one developed title. This support plan allows you to directly contact our support team via the Support Portal. If a licensee opts to not purchase a Direct Support Plan, questions may still be asked via the public Audiokinetic Community Q&A page. A Direct Support Plan is included for all Premium (Level C) licenses.

Wwise Royalty-Based License

This option allows you to license Wwise on a royalty basis, rather than with an up-front fee. The post-launch royalty rate is 1%, based on gross sales of your game. Please see the Licensing FAQ for more details.

Wwise Limited Commercial License

This license allows Wwise to be used at no cost for commercial projects. The Wwise Limited Commerical License allows the Wwise Project to contain a maximum of 500 sound files/media assets. If you need to exceed the 500-asset limit, you will need to purchase the appropriate Wwise commercial license(s).

In order to obtain the Wwise Limited Commerical License, please register your project here. Note that this license is only available for game projects with a production budget that does not exceed $150K USD.

Wwise for Non-Commercial Projects

This license is free and allows you to use Wwise at no cost. In the event that your project becomes commercial, you will need to purchase the appropriate Wwise commercial license.
