This may be considered an important usability issue, rather than a bug per se.

Perhaps due to music/audio files streaming within the authoring tool, music playback is sometimes inconsistant, particularly when transitioning from segment to segment.  There are often gaps, hesitations, and stutters when auditioning playlists, or in soundcaster, particularly with long or multi-track segments.  Changing the playback buffer helps in some ways, but small vs large look-aheads each have advantages/disadbantages and neither plays back perfectly.

My suggestion is to allow users to load project sounds into memory (eitehr selectively or as a whole) so that authoring playback is more performant, and more closely matches what will be heard in-game.

Yes, I have noticed these hiccups in the tool as well, and it is distracting and a bit concerning when you are auditioning and listening for smooth transitions.
