Audio Input Plugin with Unity, is using it supported and were can I find documentation on registering it if it is ?

I need to have Audio Input to Wwise in Unity. The Wwise Audio Input Plugin is not registered in the default integration, and I have read that it may not work in Unity. There is I assume some reason for not including it in the default dynamically loaded plugins ? I need to know.

1. Will the plugin work in Unity if registered.

2 If will work , the procedure to register it, clear enough for a coder not familiar with Wwise.
