Wwise and UE4 Sound Voice Localization

+1 vote
I am new to Wwise and need help. I would like to know how to use localized SoundVoice from Unreal. I was able to add localization within Wwise and export my sound banks but do not know how to play said SoundVoice from within Unreal. Also, I would like to know how to test localization from withing the Unreal Editor.

Thanks.

Hi Jean-François

Do you know how to trigger sounds from within Unreal in general?
If not, you should read through the docs here: https://www.audiokinetic.com/library/edge/?source=UE4&id=index.html

If you do, then triggering sound voices is exactly the same. Just add them to an event, and trigger the event.
Changing the language is a little more advanced.
To change the language you need to unload the relevant soundbank, set the new language for Wwise to use
in the game code, and load the soundbank again. The voice should now be playing in the new language.
The code would be something along these lines: https://www.audiokinetic.com/library/edge/?source=SDK&id=quickstart__sample__integration__languages.html#soundengine_integration_languages

Kind Regards
Tobias
