The Game Object 3D Viewer and last version de DirectX

0 votes
Hi,

I keep getting the message everytime I start Wwise:

"The Game Object 3D Viewer could not be loaded because your version of DirectX in not compatible with Wwise.
As per the system requirements, you must have the latest released DirectX version installed on your system.".

I am on Windows 10 and have Wwise 2019.1.7221 installed (as long as I am using version 2019.1.x, I am ok for my class).

The thing is that I have updated Windows 10 and have the latest version on DirectX, which is DirectX 12. I do not know how to get rid of this message without messing my Windows 10. I believe I will have problems down the road if I don't fix this bug now...

Any solutions?

Thank you!

The DirectX version required for Wwise is DirectX 9, which I realize is not mentioned in this error message (and it is indeed not the latest version, so could not have known!).

The DirectX 9 runtime should be installed by the Launcher, but it might have failed. In this case, you can install it manually here: https://download.microsoft.com/download/8/4/A/84A35BF1-DAFE-4AE8-82AF-AD2AE20B6B14/directx_Jun2010_redist.exe
