The Wwise Adventure Game (WAG) is a sample game created using the Unity game engine and the Wwise Unity Integration. Both the Unity project and the Wwise project are open source, allowing anyone to inspect how the game was built and how the audio was designed and integrated. With source projects that can be modified, the WAG offers an ideal environment for experimentation, where anyone can develop their interactive audio design skills.
Additionally, WAG offers tools, menus, and scenes that allow students of the Performance Optimization and Wwise Unity Integrations learning material to educate themselves on certain stages of game production, like adding their first sound or setting up music callbacks.
WAG uses Addressables to load Unity assets, such as prefabs and audio clips, by calling them using an address. Unity assets can be assigned to an addressable group, and these addressable assets can then be loaded at runtime from their location. See Basic Tutorial For Packaging DLC.
WAG is a third-person action-adventure game about an Adventurer who comes across Allegro Kingdom, which has recently been afflicted with an Evil Essence. The Adventurer, helped by the Blacksmith and a mighty Wwizard, goes on a journey to eradicate the plague and free the villagers.
The game’s artistic direction represents a unique indie-style and features all the usual clichés of adventure games, such as exploration, combat, and collecting quest items.
