Is there any reason to prefer XAudio over WSAPI for initializing Wwise?

Specifically, we target only Windows 7 and higher. In this context, are there notable advantages of initializing Wwise with XAudio over WSAPI?

I would be a little surprised if there were, but due to the occasional Xaudio-related conflict we get due to certain other middleware, I see only advantages at the moment.
