Run Cube

Throughout this certification, you're asked to run Cube several times. Each time you’re asked, complete the following steps.

  1. In the Audiokinetic Launcher, select the Samples page, and click Cube.

  2. On the page that opens, find the version of Cube you installed during Install Wwise, Cube, and the course materials, and click Run Cube.

As Cube launches, you might get a notification indicating that the Windows Firewall has blocked some features of the program. This is because this version of Cube uses a network connection to communicate with Wwise. It’s important that this capability is not blocked by Windows.

  3. If you get a Windows Security Alert window, click Allow access.

The game opens in an empty level, which allows you to run around and explore your sound design without having to worry about fighting monsters.

    [Note]

If the game doesn't open, ensure your operating system is up to date, as well as the drivers for your graphics card and sound card.

The game uses standard first-person keyboard controls. The controls you need to know are:

    • W = Move Forward

    • S = Move Backward

    • A = Strafe Left

    • D= Strafe Right

    • Spacebar = Jump

    • Left-Click = Fire

    • 1, 2, 3 & 4 = Change Magic Gem Type

    [Tip]

On Windows, press Alt+Tab to return to the Windows desktop or the Wwise program. On Mac, press Command+Tab.

  4. To exit the game, press Esc, use the up and down arrow keys to select quit, and then press Enter.
