Event voume increases each time its called

In Wwise I have a simple Fireball sound effect event that plays though my main sound bank. Attached to my script I use AkSoundEngine.PostEvent("Fireball", gameObject); which is called when ever the player presses the space bar. Though Every time I call the event be it pressing the space bar or holding it down th evolume increases on this and all my other sound effects in my game. Is there any thing that could be causing this?
