Mac Specs:

  • 2023 Macbook Pro
  • Apple M2 Max
  • Ventura 13.4 macOS

Troubleshooting Steps I Have Tried

  • Using older and newer versions of the Wwise software.
  • Uninstalling and re-installing both the Launcher and the Wwise software.
  • Restarting my computer both before and after re-installing.
  • Killing all Wine processes and/or re-starting to make sure none remained.
  • Delete the hidden folder.

I left Wwise open and restarted my computer. Then When I tried to launch Wwise after reboot, nothing showed up.

I've tried restarting the computer again or reinstalling Wwise and clearing all cache. But the problem is not solved.

The WINE environment is launched, but no window shows up.

I tried to launch it with the run command, but it crashed after briefly showing up a launch screen.

It usually ends up with return code 5 or completely freezes.

Here are the logs. The file newlog.cxlog is for return code 5, and the newlog2.cxlog is for the latter case. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1npmJydgOP-Rt2GgY2qNMgORWXNA7_F3R/view?usp=share_link

We are aware of an issue on Apple Silicon where the first launch of newly installed Wwise version takes an extraordinary amount of time (~5 min).

This is under investigation, but as a workaround if you leave it running, Wwise should eventually launch. After that, launching Wwise should be fast (5 seconds).
Please report back if, starting with no wine64-preloader processes running, Wwise never opens.
