Failing to get Unity version after selecting correct Unity installation. "Integrate" button greyed out

I'm on Mac and Wwise can't find my Unity installation but even after I select the correct path it still doesn't work. I'm guessing part of the reason is maybe because my unity installations are on an external hard drive, but I gave Wwise full disk access in privacy settings so I feel like it should still work.

Is this dependent on the LOCATION of saved versions of Unity?

The same with Wwise Launcher 2022.1.2.1657, Wwise 2021.1.7.7796.2335, Unity 2021.3.1f1c1, Windows 11.
