Hello everybody,

I wanted to ask you a question.

Does anybody knows how I could make a system in wwise where the tonal UI sounds of the game harmonise with the background music. Like a radio, and every time it changes the music, so do the sounds in order to harmonise it.

You can find an example in Mario odyssey

Any info just to cue me in would be of great help, because I wouldn’t know where to even start from.

Thanks!

Hi!

Keeping track of the chords

You can create an event for each chord change. You create a State Group with all the chords possibilities. The event need to set those states. You will then trigger those events from the Music Tracks (Right clic on the clip, Add Music Event Cue...).

UI in tune

You put each UI sounds in a Switch Container and do your sound it the tonality you want. You then assign the sounds you want for each chords playing with the State Group.

Hope it helps!
