Wwise version error

Hello,

I recently updated to Wwise 2021.1.8 in order to stay up to date with the Wwise integration of one of my projects. Even though I downloaded the latest version and upgraded Wwise in my project, when I move the files for the previous Wwise version (2021.1.7) into the trash I’m unable to load the app for the latest Wwise version. It only works when the previous version files are on my computer. Does this have something to do with the SDK files? I don't want to have multiple Wwise versions downloaded taking space on my computer.

I read the Wwise Versioning article, but still don't understand why this issue is happening.
