I have just about had it with Wwise. I go from one problem to the next with next to no references or support to fix the issues, We are always left on our own to resolve things, The latest problem is that any time I make a change that requires me to restart the UE editor I have to wait for over an hour to get back to work, It says that parsing has reached 100%, but it just sits there. Nothing on the web or in AK's resources addresses this. I have asked others and some have had the same issue, I am using Perforce and have a decent fiber connection, but that doesn't seem to matter,

What version of Wwise are you using? The version 2021.1.2 has a fix for issue WG-54411, which address a problem that fits your description.
