About *.dat files

Hello,

I have several *.dat files that are created and that cause problems during Pull Request with Git.  Can these files be ignored in the gitignore or are they important?
I can't find any information about this type of files. Is there any? I do not understand how and when they are created...

These files should be ignored yes: everything under .cache and .backup should be ignored, as well as user wsettings files and *.akd files under Originals.
