Hello, I've tried all the aforementioned steps and I still cannot seem to make Wwise function properly on Ventura 13.2.1

Mac Specs:

  • 2022 Macbook Pro
  • Apple M2 Pro Chip
  • Ventura 13.2.1 macOS
  • Python 3.11.4 is installed
  • SDL2.framework is installed

Troubleshooting Steps I Have Tried

  • Using older and newer versions of the Wwise software.
  • Uninstalling and re-installing both the Launcher and the Wwise software.
  • Restarting my computer both before and after re-installing.
  • Killing all Wine processess and/or re-starting to make sure none remained.
  • Delete the hidden folder

We are aware of an issue on Apple Silicon where the first launch of newly installed Wwise version takes an extraordinary amount of time (~5 min).

This is under investigation, but as a workaround if you leave it running, Wwise should eventually launch. After that, launching Wwise should be fast (5 seconds).
Please report back if, starting with no wine64-preloader processes running, Wwise never opens.
Its brutal. I am just trying to hack my way through the Wwise 251 course and it has so far been nothing but endless issues regarding connecting Wwise to Unity for the WAG.
Any tips or suggestions are very welcome! Right now, I've uninstalled and deleted absolutely anything to do with Wwise or Unity or WAG, and I'll start again from scratch...
Talk about a poor impression of Wwise!
