Unity Hanging on a black screen when opening WAG (v2019.1.11.7296)

Hey guys,

Hoping someone can help me with this.

I'm trying to go through Wwise Training 301 and having an issue. Unity installed successfully, but when I try to open WAG in Unity, Unity just opens to a black screen.

I installed version 2019.1.11.7296 of WAG, and version 2018.4.32f1 of Unity, per the training instructions. I've tried deleting and reinstalling Unity multiple times, but that doesn't seem to help.

Any help/suggestions that anyone can provide would be super helpful.

every student of mine on mac os Ventura is experiencing this issue. What would be the supported Wwise and Unity version for Ventura?

Hello Beau,

Hmm, that's strange indeed. What operating system do you use?
To me, it sounds like the Unity version is not well supported on your operating system.

What if you download the newest version of WAG, does it work?
If Unity 2018.4 LTS does not support your operating system, you might have to go for a newer version of WAG. It might look aesthetically different, but most of the steps are exactly the same.
