Audio assets will not convert from Blue to White

Question 1

I am on 2023.1.0 after a recent upgrade from 2019.2.12 and some of my local audio assets will not convert. No matter what I do I can't convert them and change from blue to white. The window quickly flashes and closes when I try. My Play event will only audition the asset if I set the transport to Originals. Any ideas I should try?
