Hello. About 2 months ago, an audio bug started appearing in my game. The audio cuts out, followed by the loudest sound I have ever heard. Wwise profiler says the output peak jumps to around 200-700db when the audio cuts out. I have searched every single page on the internet and have not been able to find a single thing that could help me fix this. If anyone has a clue as to what could be going on, please let me know.
The only information I have on the bug is:
It happens at random, and with different types. Sometimes, audio just cuts out for a second. Sometimes it cuts, then the loud sound happens. And sometimes it cuts, loud sound happens, then all system audio slowly gets louder and louder until returning to normal suddenly.
Stopping all sounds once the bug has started will cause it to go away until the game is restarted. This would be a good solution, however my game uses lots of looping sounds that need to keep playing.
It is not consistent. It could go away for weeks, and then come back even though nothing had been changed.
The profiler doesn't show any unusual activity when the bug happens. Memory and CPU are normal.
No errors appear when the bug happens.
My play testers also experience this bug.
Im using Unity 2023.2.17 with Wwise version 2022.1.8.8316.2888.
