Hi,

We are having a problem with Wwise 2024.1.1 in Unreal when we try to run in Standalone Game mode.

The Wwise plugin, in

    UWwisePackagingSettings::SaveConfigFile()

, calls:

    if (!SettingsHelpers::IsCheckedOut(ConfigFilename, true))

which causes our Unreal Source Control plugin, which is PlasticSCM (or Unity Version Control) to create a Slate "Checking Out" notification and causing a thread lock, at which point our game will not start. It just freezes.

The plugin is trying to write something to DefaultGame.ini and causes the PlasticSCM Unreal plugin to create the Slate widget.

If I comment out the SettingsHelpers::IsCheckedOut() call from above in UWwisePackagingSettings, Standalone Game mode works again.

Does anyone know why Wwise is trying to write to a Source-controlled file, and how we can prevent it from stopping our Standalone Game testing?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew.
