It has come to our attention that some users cannot install Wwise version 2024.1.4 / 2023.1.12 using the Audiokinetic Launcher. The problem is not yet fully understood; we suspect it is a concurrency problem while unarchiving some components. The result is that the installation fails with a message stating:

Unknown error, zip util exited with error code 50

To workaround this problem, we recommend editing the %appdata%/WwiseLauncher/Json/settings.json file in a text editor, setting "concurrentUnpackSteps"  to '1'.

On macOS, I received an error message doing the same that reads "Could not retrieve bundle information for wwise.2024_1_4_8780." Is the solution the same? Where can the settings.json be found on a macOS install?
