Hello Jescelyn,
If you expect and look using Steam Audio as Wwise's plugin under a Unity project, you have to - 1st - keep in mind that Wwise will never spread the “ Steam Audio Plug in ” in Unity by integration. You have to in a second time install the Steam Audio “third partie” inside Unity.
HOW TO
a: Install Steam Audio in Wwise througout the Audiokinetic Launcher “ add plugin from a ZIP file… ” The installer runs as well .
b: Install Steam Audio Package in Unity by Import the Steam Audio Wwise support package
In Unity’s main menu, click Assets > Import Package > Custom Package.
Navigate to the unity subdirectory of the directory into which you extracted steamaudio_unity.zip, and double-click the SteamAudioWwise.unitypackage file.
In the Import dialog box, make sure everything is selected, and click Import.
That's means: You must have Steam Audio in both side Wwise and Unity.
Configure the Wwise Unity integration to use Steam Audio
Wwise stores information in its generated sound banks about which plugins are used by your project. This is used by the Wwise Unity integration to make sure that the necessary plugin binaries are loaded. No additional steps are necessary.
Configure the Steam Audio Unity integration to use Wwise ( You'll have a new menu Steam Audio on the top bar )
In Unity’s main menu, click Steam Audio > Settings.
Set Audio Engine to “Wwise”.
