Can you change Total Reserved in Advanced Profiler > Memory? I was working through one of the certification courses and it seemed to imply that you could. However, I tried changing all of the relevant settings in Unity's Wwise settings, and none of them seemed to have an effect. Is it even necessary to mess with?

I found a documentation page mentioning this setting, but nothing more.

  • Wwise 2024.1.7.8863
  • macOS Ventura 13.7.5
  • Unity 6000.0.45f1

You could do that for Wwise 2023.1.x, the version of Wwise the certification was crafted for.

We introduced the AkMemoryArena, a memory manager made for Wwise, in 2024.1, so that setting will probably change in Unity.

It is not necessary to mess with that unless you are having issues exceeding the available memory.
