WWise 201 course state transitions rules not taken into account

Hello everyone, I'm currently following the 201 Wwise course (using the 2021.1.14 version recommended) and I'm exepriencing an issue on the lesson 6, talking about transition rules.

Basically, I've set up the default rule and the 2 rules indicated in the lesson, though they do not seem to be taken into account when playing the Music Event and switching the PlayerLife state in real time.

I've taken a look at the profiler tab to monitor what's going on and I'm believing there's actually a problem elsewhere on the software that goes beyond my capacities.

Even though my PlayerLife state is set at alive in the first place and the state change of PlayerLife is correctly taken into account, the music switch container acts as if we are going from the state Defeated to Defeated. Which explains why it is playing the wrong transition rules I guess, but I have no idea why the music switch container is acting like that.

Please let me know as I'm for the first time completely stuck on this issue (I've already looked online, on reddit and asked ChatGPT).
