Mac - Wwise project won't load after 'building layout'

Unfortunately Wwise wont load any projects on my MacBook Pro  

It gets as far as 'finalizing' -  then 'building layouts' -  but then nothing.

Please help!

I'm in the same situation, and I'm using a Macbook Pro too...

Wwise Version: 2014.1.4

Did you get a response on this?  I'm having the same issue on 2015.1.5 preventing me from loading an existing project.  Tried reinstalling wwise and newer versions but same thing.  New project can be created, saved, and reopened, but existing projects always stall on loading layouts

The 2015.1 Beta1 - Wwise Mac Authoring tool contains some improvements that are not present in Wwise 2014.1.5 (or earlier versions).
We would like to know if they will solve your issue.

Could you download the 2015.1 build 5363 beta1 - Wwise Authoring (Mac OS X) from the Audiokinetic download page, create a new Wwise Project and let us know if Wwise successfully opened the project afterward?
