GameMaker custom plugin

Hey,

I'm looking to create an updated plugin for GameMaker: Studio to integrate with WWise 2014.

My intention is to expand upon the open source plugin GMWWise, which I've copied to a repo here: https://github.com/CaKlassen/gmwwise

Ideally, I'd like to expand the plugin to incorporate most/all major changes added to WWise since 2012, which is the last version that GMWWise supports. Where should I look for support in extending this plugin?
