When I run the installer I just get a blank white box and cannot install because of this. I noticed the buttons are still usable but just hidden, does anyone know a fix?

Try the following:

Install .NET 4.0 from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=17851

Reboot.

Try again, please post your installation log (Go to %temp%, use this site to paste: http://pastebin.com)

Please give more information about your configuration.

Maybe updating the video card drivers would be something to try.  if it does not work, then look at my other answer.

Here is a workaround:
  • Go to the download page
  • Click the "Standalone Setup Components" link
  • download the following files:
    •  Wwise Authoring (32-bit) (17.14 MB)
    •  Wwise Authoring (64-bit) (18.88 MB)
    •  Wwise Authoring Data (231.50 MB)
    •  SDK Common
    •  SDK Windows
(You can also download the other msi files if you wish)

After downloading the files, do for each file:
  • double-click msi file
  • wait until installation finished
  • go to next file
