An error occured while updating your project to the current version of Wwise

There is one project on my computer which stubbornly refuses to open after I updated Wwise to the latest version.  I get the following message after trying to migrate the project to the latest version: "An error occured while updating your project to the current version of Wwise"

No other information on the source of this error is included in the message.  I only get an "OK" button and then the project closes.  So there is really no way to know what went wrong...  Any help?  I know the description of the problem is vague, but the error is vague too.
